Topic: IG build QA information messages
Rob Hausam (Aug 02 2019 at 13:30):
It hasn't been very clear to me whether there's an official rule about the QA information (not error or warning) messages for IG publication. Do they need to be resolved? Can they be ignored? Or do only some of them need to be resolved, and does that depend on which particular messages they are?
Lloyd McKenzie (Aug 02 2019 at 14:17):
The QA is expected to be clean unless Grahame says it's a tooling issue that a) can't be fixed before ballot/publication; and b) that tooling issue is not significant to the ballot/publication
Lloyd McKenzie (Aug 02 2019 at 14:18):
If there are warning or info messages where you've reviewed and agreed that everything is correct, you can add the messages to the ignoreWarnings.txt file (or whatever the equivalent is in @Eric Haas's framework) so they don't bug you.
Lynn Laakso (Aug 02 2019 at 14:48):
well the new IG publisher just released gives a ton more build errors than there were before. I'm afraid to re-run the ones I already did...
Rob Hausam (Aug 02 2019 at 14:57):
yes, quite a few more :( - looking at what do about them
Bryn Rhodes (Aug 02 2019 at 15:30):
There's a reference to icon_fixed.gif that I can't find anywhere, that's the source for many of them in my IGs. Anyone have an icon_fixed.gif?
Rob Hausam (Aug 02 2019 at 15:32):
just posted about the same thing here
Lloyd McKenzie (Aug 02 2019 at 15:42):
