Is there something we can do to show how a given IG version is or not compatible with prior versions?
Example: We want BE2020 profiles to be compatible with BE2019 profiles. Or at least to compare them both and document the things that will no longer work.

I can try and add something to my template's ant.xml to run the comparison - would that be a good path?

the output of the comparison is not simple

there's no way to include it in an IG at this time, and doing something in ant wouldn't get you there
