Being able to do this has long been on our "list of things to do" and I'm about to embark on the work. However, before doing so, I wanted to give everyone a heads-up on my planned approach. If there's controversy, we can potentially discuss at the Wed. Q1 session. Feedback is welcome here or as comments on the Git issue.
Proposed plan is here: https://github.com/HL7/fhir-ig-publisher/issues/77

Is this primarily about the 'base FHIR status' or will this include capability to tag maturity of a 'profile'?

This is only about IG artifacts - so the IG as a whole, all profiles, extensions, logical models, custom search parameters, code systems, value sets, you name it.

Maturity and standards status don't inherit from the underlying base resources - though we might have QA rules about relationships of maturity of dependencies.

oh, I have a need to pull forward the underlying FMM. That is what I thought this title indicated.
