Topic: Additional "(unbound)" link when not "Example"
David McKillop (May 14 2018 at 04:18):
Hi @Grahame Grieve (FYI - @Brett Esler ) In a device profile derived from http://build.fhir.org/ig/hl7au/au-fhir-base/StructureDefinition-au-device.html (and a clone of "au-device" exhibits the same issue) - when the device.type binding is changed to another option other than "Example" the binding in the publisher output appears with links to "(unbound)" and "(extensible)".
Output with device.type binding as "Example" is:
Device-L1-type-no-binding-20180514.JPG
Output with device.type binding as any of "Required", "Preferred" or "Extensible" is:
Device-L1-type-extensible-binding-20180514.jpg
This was done using the IG Publisher (v3.4.0-13755, gen-code v3.4.0-13690) ie today's download.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi @Grahame Grieve , @Brett Esler - I tried to add the additional information to tracker#17117, but I didn't see a way of adding more screen images/files to the Forge tracker.
The issue seems to be that the actual binding eg in the case of Practitioner.gender to "Value Set http://hl7.org/fhir/ValueSet/administrative-gender" the link is being replaced with a link to "unbound" (http://hl7.org/fhir/STU3/terminologies.html#unbound) .
For example when viewing Practitioner.gender in the Agency profile the binding to "administrative-gender" is present in Forge - refer to:
GForge-17117-Agency-20180626.JPG
And the correct binding is in the Au Base Practitioner which the Agency profile is derived from - refer to:
GForge-17117-Au-Base-20180626.JPG
But when the Agency Practitioner (the derived profile from the Au Base Practitioner) is run through the IG Publisher, the output has the link to administrative-gender replaced by a link to "unbound" refer to:
GForge-17117-Agency-IG-Pub-output-20180626.JPG
So the issue seems not to be an "Additional Unbound link", but a case of the terminology binding being replaced with a link to "unbound" when the profile is a derived profile and the binding is a type other than "Example".
