will that also work with FHIR Bulk Data API ? (I would hope so)
however I see no equivalence of https://www.hl7.org/fhir/search.html#profile on the FHIR Bulk API operations?

Yup - I don't see why a bulk server couldn't specify profile support in its CapabilityStatement. In terms of querying by profile, servers should be able to support this via the optional _typeFilter parameter - not sure if any do today though :)

There are no recommended profiles for bulk data. I'd expect most server in the US to use US Core

Thanks, Michele! I was assuming the Argonaut profiles would be used for the Bulk data.

You should think of US Core as the current day evolution of the original Argonaut profiles.
