This canonicalization method is identified by the URI http://hl7.org/fhir/canonicalization/xml. The following additional canonicalization URIs are also defined:

that does explain it, as does the pages from there. But they explain it in human readable terms.. but none of them carry a computable form. I was expecting, especially in XML, there would be some computable form.
