Topic: May Connectathon
David Hay (Mar 10 2017 at 20:49):
Hi Guys,
Well, it's coming up to that time again - the next Working Group Meeting is approaching us, and with it a FHIR Connectathon! The event will be held in Madrid (Spain) over the weekend of May 6/7 (immediately preceding the WGM – here’s a link to WGM details: http://www.hl7.org/events/working_group_meeting/2017/05/ )
It will be based on the STU3 version of FHIR that is almost ready to roll out (And a big thanks to all that are helping with this - especially our QA reviewers!)
We'll be sending out more details as we get closer to the event, but right now we're focussed on finalizing the tracks that will be supported, which means that the track co-ordinators need to get the proposals in by Tuesday March 21 (Sorry that we're a bit slow in sending out the reminder - the STU-3 candidate has been a lot of work!).
I've set up the pages:
Wiki - http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR
Connectathon page: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Connectathon_15
Track proposals: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=Category:201704_FHIR_Connectathon_Track_Proposals
Again, sorry for the short timeframe...

I noticed that the proposal page year and month prefix was slightly off “201704” instead of “201705”. I went ahead and corrected that as well as creating the Patient Track proposal.
Here’s the updated link: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=Category:201705_FHIR_Connectathon_Track_Proposals
And the Patient Track link: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=201705_Patient_Track

On the Sunday afternoon after the May connectathon in Madrid we'd like to invite FHIR implementers to share their implementation experiences, best practices and lessons learned with your peers - with a specific focus on how to architect a solution that uses FHIR on a legacy-database backend.
See http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=AID_201705_Meeting_in_Madrid for tentative agenda (mostly empty right now), drop me a message should you wish to contribute - by sharing you'll learn something yourself because of the feedback, and others will get an opportunity to learn as well..

Hi Guys,
Now that the New Orleans Connectathon is behind us, time to start planning for the next one! This time it's in Cologne, Germany so our task is to make it as big as the one we've just had. No problem!
The first step is to create the track proposals, and we'd really appreciate it if these could be done by March 31st.
If you've got any questions then reach out to me and I'll try to assist.
cheers...
BTW - as usual, there are links to the event off the FHIR wiki page - http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR
