Topic: HL7.ORG Website Server Move
David Johnson (Nov 21 2019 at 16:36):
I will be beginning the migration of the www.hl7.org web server late tomorrow afternoon. There will be times on 11/22 where hl7.org/anything will not be available. I expect to continue work through into the weekend as necessary.
David Johnson (Nov 22 2019 at 16:50):
In approximately 3 hours I will begin the switch to the new HL7 web server. All hl7.org/anything will be down. There are database updates that will happen during the downtime. After the switch, I will be available all evening and all weekend for any and all feedback. If you see something not working properly, please let me know!
David Johnson (Nov 22 2019 at 17:03):
The update has been moved to after 5 pm.
Patrick Werner (Nov 22 2019 at 18:12):
Which timezone?
David Johnson (Nov 22 2019 at 18:46):
Eastern. Sorry for not clarifying.
David Johnson (Nov 22 2019 at 21:32):
In 30 minutes, hl7.org will be unavailable for the moving of the server.
David Johnson (Nov 22 2019 at 23:58):
The site will be available by 8:00 PM Eastern. Batch processes are complete. I do expect there to be a few cosmetic issues and errors as more people come back on. I look forward to addressing each issue.
David Johnson (Nov 23 2019 at 01:08):
The hl7.org website is back online on the new server. I will continue to work on any and all bugs throughout the weekend. I will be monitoring email for errors. I expect to be available between 8 am and 8 pm Eastern tomorrow and Sunday.
Craig Newman (Nov 25 2019 at 13:45):
@David Johnson I don't seem to have received the typical bolus of meeting notifications this weekend. Is that due to the server move? (can't say as I missed going through all of them on Monday morning...)
David Johnson (Nov 25 2019 at 13:59):
There are known issues with file downloads on hl7.org. I am working on it this morning. Files appear to download but are showing corrupt when opening. Not all files, but some.
David Johnson (Nov 25 2019 at 14:00):
It is. I will be resending todays. There was a change in how mail is handled between the old and new versions. It requires coding updates. I hope to have these in place this afternoon.
Stefan Csomor (Nov 29 2019 at 10:26):
@David Johnson For me URLs pointing to older versions like https://www.hl7.org/fhir/stu3/ end up in a HTTP Error 500.52 - URL Rewrite Module Error while https://www.hl7.org/fhir/r4/ works, did I miss something ?
Grahame Grieve (Nov 29 2019 at 10:41):
this is my error. And I'll fix it
Grahame Grieve (Nov 29 2019 at 10:50):
fixed
Stefan Csomor (Nov 29 2019 at 10:55):
Perfect, thanks a lot!
Yunwei Wang (Dec 02 2019 at 14:11):
ballot home (http://www.hl7.org/ctl.cfm?action=ballots.home) is down
Lynn Laakso (Dec 02 2019 at 14:14):
@Yunwei Wang I've reported to webmaster. Will move updates off of announcements thread
Andrew Wason (Dec 02 2019 at 15:19):
http://hl7.org/fhir/R4/version.info now returns
HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.
Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 02 2019 at 15:47):
#Announcements is not a place for discussion of issues, just for the initial announcement of planned downtime. Please move discussion of issues resulting from the move to #implementers
