Dave deBronkart (Jun 09 2019 at 22:32):
Anyone going from Redmond?? It's a lovely offer (Thanks @Rien Wertheim!) but $30 of Uber return fare makes me want to share! (I'm at the Aloft, not that it matters much)/
Rien Wertheim (Jun 10 2019 at 23:21):

It was so nice, you did it twice? :) I missed it the first time but will drop in. Thank you.

This was my favourite session of the day. I missed it the first time, so jumped at the second chance. My mind was blown by ProtoBuf! Thank you Nick!
Matthew Koch (Jun 11 2019 at 15:31):
I couldn't find the answer to this anywere: What was FHIR's orginal name, before FHIR?
David Hay (Jun 11 2019 at 15:32):
There was Grahames original "Resources for Healthcare" (RFH) I believe...
René Spronk (Jun 11 2019 at 15:56):
Before FHIR, there was IHCE ;-)
Richard Townley-O'Neill (Jun 13 2019 at 00:46):
I think FHIR should be pronounced the same as fir. It could have a tree as its symbol. :grinning:
Benson Lott (Jun 13 2019 at 07:29):
Or...the same as fear. HL7 Fear: what people experience working with previous versions :joy:
Dave deBronkart (Jun 13 2019 at 18:23):
But do you really want the Germans to have to say HL7 Fear R Vier?
John Moehrke (Jun 13 2019 at 18:50):
it works... that is #4 in german, which is logical following HL7 v3, and HL7 v2... --> HL7 v4
Matt Zajack (Jun 26 2019 at 17:01):
Sorry if I missed the announcement: Was / will any of the content from Dev Days be released? I would love to get my hands on all the slide decks and any other related material that I can--I think others would too. I took as many notes as I was able but the actual decks would be amazing to have and share with my colleagues. Where would be the best place to look for the material?
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 26 2019 at 17:49):
The organizers sent out an email 8 days ago saying that the link to the presentations and recordings would be available in 2 weeks, so only 6 or so more days to wait :)
Stefan Lang (Jun 26 2019 at 23:12):
@Dave deBronkart @John Moehrke
I wouldn't say that we fear the vier, but we definitely feier the F(h)ir(e) ;)

Kevin Mayfield (Jul 12 2019 at 13:14):
Would love to go but .... any chance of discounts for individuals (not part of large organisations)?
[However, if you could convince me networking may lead to roles in EU, not UK, I could be persuaded]
Jens Villadsen (Jul 13 2019 at 06:00):
@Rien Wertheim why oh why must it collide with https://gotocph.com/
Rien Wertheim (Jul 13 2019 at 08:14):
Because we want you to choose :wink:
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 13 2019 at 22:15):

I am trying to figure out if a Birds of a Feather (BoF) session at DevDays on the interoperability between big national FHIR based implementations may be interesting.
