Topic: extension structuredefinition-standards-status
Richard Townley-O'Neill (May 08 2020 at 06:42):
Why does Forge add extensions http://hl7.org/fhir/StructureDefinition/structuredefinition-standards-status and http://hl7.org/fhir/StructureDefinition/structuredefinition-normative-version to every element in the differential?
Why is this useful?
Richard Townley-O'Neill (May 08 2020 at 06:43):
(Other than the root element.)
Grahame Grieve (May 08 2020 at 07:12):
it inherits them - open discussion on #conformance right now
Ward Weistra (May 08 2020 at 14:44):
In Monday's Forge release we'll greatly reduce the number of those inheritances. We might even remove some that were previously introduced by Forge, where it's safe.
Many of them came from every element being a child of Element which has those extensions. And I think the intermediate solution (before the FHIR spec can address the underlying 'what extension should be inherited' issue: thread 1, thread 2) is that we will no longer inherit extensions from the root element. But @Abel Enthoven can confirm.
Abel Enthoven (May 11 2020 at 09:19):
Yes I can confirm @Ward Weistra , sorry for the delay :)
Ward Weistra (May 13 2020 at 08:29):
@Richard Townley-O'Neill Please let me know if this week's release resolves the issue!
Richard Townley-O'Neill (May 14 2020 at 03:28):
It does @Ward Weistra, thanks. :+1:
