As we have more tools for more purposes, i was wondering if we should have a workbench that allows us to use such tools.
For example we have several editors, we have validator, we have publisher,...
As an implementer, what I would love is to setup my workbench / IDE to use a selection of tools, so that I can edit resources, bundle resources, test them against the validator, get them into/out of a server...

Such tools could all be interoperable with the framework (or frameworks). So I can change from one tool to another.
Is it worth pursuing this - not only a framework tool but agreeing on the interoperability of tools (eg command lines or standard scripts or ...)?
