The other day a newbie was trying to discover how to create a new topic, and posted this screen capture in Social, saying "I don't have that button. Perhaps I don't have enough rights?":

I realized in the distant past, the same thing tripped me up. So, suggestion: in addition to the existing New Topic box at bottom, why not add it to that menu too, perhaps as a shortcut to the existing form?

Thanks for the feedback @Dave deBronkart! We do need to be sensitive to avoid over-cluttering menus, so we'll need to think about that, but I think I agree it'd be well worth having something there. (Or perhaps below "more topics" in the sidebar).
