I'm not sure the best place to direct the question, and thought this was as good a place to start as any. I received a 'spam' PM with a job posting. AFAICT there is no process for reporting a message or a user. Is there one I missed somewhere? Tagging people who may know the answer: @Grahame Grieve @Josh Mandel . Thanks!

Just came here to say the same thing!

We need a policy and process to deal with this.

Looking at current policy I see:

Though https://chat.fhir.org links to an outdated wiki page in the "before joining" section:

The code of conduct and community expectations don't obviously rule out this kind of spammy behavior; not that additional language would prevent it, but we should at least be clear (and when we ban people, we can tie it back to violation of specifics).

I've already punted one user today for doing that. (Jim someone). If you've received from someone else, let me know.

You need to add "Spam Me" to your name field!

@Josh Mandel I think Zulip has some ongoing work on making it possible to restrict private messages for new community members, which might help prevent this sort of thing. https://zulip.com/help/restrict-private-messages has details, though the current setting options don't allow the type of option you might want (E.g. preventing new users from using PMs for the first 10 days, with the error linking to the community standards).
