Gah! Sorry @adam strickland , I saw this and then it fell off too quickly. The server appears to be running and processing ok. Can you provide the subscription you are trying to create?

Hey Gino, I think I figured this out. Related to Eric's next post, the reference server did not like the app's default topic url of "https://server.subscriptions.argo.run/r4/SubscriptionTopic/encounter-start", and wanted "http://argonautproject.org/encounters-ig/SubscriptionTopic/encounter-start" instead. If I do the optional topic search this works.
