Mario Hyland (Jun 19 2017 at 15:06):
IHE / FHIR Provider Directory effort, reference IG; how will this align with the Argonauts and what ONC FHA (Federal Agencies) are working on. Is this the case, that several disparate efforts are jointly underway with separate agenda and mission objectives?
Mario Hyland (Jun 19 2017 at 15:08):
The next HL7 FHIR Connectathon in San Diego may play host to a Use Case around Scheduling; this Test has included Provider Lookup Use Case. We are working with the Track Leads to fianlize the Use Case and to try to have Test Scripts ready by Sept to support testing PD use case.
Mario Hyland (Jun 19 2017 at 15:08):
Any updates from IHE, FHIR or Argonauts on the planned Provider Directory IG, Profiles, etc would be beneficial to the entire FHIR Community.
John Moehrke (Jun 19 2017 at 15:11):
Public comment closed this weekend on the IHE Profile that is equivalent to Provider Directory (more comments are welcome too). Next step for the committee is to resolve these comments, and produce their Trial Implementation version. That will kickoff IHE Connectathon preparation: Writing test scripts, developing test bench, etc... I would love to see IHE leverage the TestScript tooling so that we all work together on a best set of tests.

@John Moehrke - please confirm the IHE links - http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php/Healthcare_Provider_Directory
http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php/Healthcare_Provider_Directory_USA_National_Extension
Are these the most current?
John Moehrke (Jun 19 2017 at 15:31):
That would be for the 'classic' for for HPD. I presume you are interested in the FHIR form for HPD -- which is renamed "Mobile Care Services Discovery" (mCSD). This rename because for the FHIR form we combined CSD and HPD; the CSD editors showed up to the face-to-face meeting, and thus they got to pick the name of the combined profile.. :-) The public comment form is at http://www.ihe.net/Public_Comment/#IT
Mario Hyland (Jun 19 2017 at 18:12):
@John Moehrke the IHE "Mobile Care Services Discovery" (mCSD)" as I read it does NOT specifically outline a need for HL7 FHIR Resource profiles, these are substantively different from IHE Profile (yes or no)?
John Moehrke (Jun 19 2017 at 18:16):
I don't understand your confusion. mCSD is the IHE Profile that leverages FHIR (STU3) to achieve the usecases originally defined in HPD and CSD combined.
John Moehrke (Jun 19 2017 at 18:18):
you could ask your employee, @Joe Lamy , who was present at the IHE face-to-face meeting for all the development of the IHE mCSD profile...
Elliot Silver (Jul 15 2017 at 00:16):
IHE will be reviewing a new provider directory profile (called mCSD, http://ihe.net/uploadedFiles/Documents/ITI/IHE_ITI_Suppl_mCSD_Rev1.0_PC_2017_05-17.pdf) next week during their face-to-face meetings. Although the official public comment period is over (http://ihe.net/Public_Comment/#IT) , I am interested in feedback from anyone knowledgeable about the Argonaut provider directory profiling or the US Federal project. Please see the http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php/ITI_Agenda_2016-2017 for the agenda, or contact me or @Luke Duncan for details.
