Topic: Finding IHE Profiles on Simplifier
Simone Heckmann (Nov 02 2017 at 09:18):
I am having a hard time differentiating between "official" IHE Profiles and other stuff in Simplifier. Is IHE registered as an Organization there? If so, then I can't see the association of the Profiles with the Organization...

Simone Heckmann (Nov 02 2017 at 09:21):
Hmm. I think that's a general issue with simplifier. I can't tell that our german base profile is associated with the Organization "HL7 Germany" either. And it seems impossible to select an Organization and show all associated projects...
Martijn Harthoorn (Nov 02 2017 at 10:00):
It's too limited indeed. We are currently working on adding organizations to search itself. -- and when you are 'on' a project, you can see that that project belongs to an organization.
Martijn Harthoorn (Nov 02 2017 at 10:01):
What would you suggest to improve this Simone?
Simone Heckmann (Nov 02 2017 at 12:21):
"and when you are 'on' a project, you can see that that project belongs to an organization."
Do you mean you can see that now already or is that something you're working on? Because I can't see it :-)
I think it would be good to have a shortlist of "featured" organizations on Simplifiers homepage, so people can find the "official" stuff between all the sandboxes and test-accounts more easily.
It's already there for projects, but I guess that list is going to explode...
Martijn Harthoorn (Nov 02 2017 at 15:27):
Yes. If you are on a project page, you already see that it belongs to an organization. (above the title).
Yes. A list of featured organizations is a good idea.
John Moehrke (Nov 02 2017 at 16:49):
There are so many in there, because I am experimenting with trying to develop a pattern for all the IHE profiles. This means that I have many failed projects, that I should likely go back and kill..... There are also others doing similar, and it is impossible to stop someone else from developing conformance resources for the same thing.
John Moehrke (Nov 02 2017 at 16:51):
I think that we need a more rich .status element. Today everything is draft... next up is 'active', and it comes with some revision burden... I accidently hit that and thus more failed projects
Simone Heckmann (Nov 02 2017 at 16:52):
Sorry... I still don't see it...

How can I tell that this project is associated with HL7 Germany (aside from the subtitle, which we entered manually)
Simone Heckmann (Nov 02 2017 at 16:55):
Maybe it won't be even necessary to "feature" organizations... Since the creation of Organizations is only available to the paying customers (if I'm not mistaken) there will probably be some sort of "natural selection". So only people who are serious about creating Profiles will be able to create Organizations in the first place.
Maybe that's a good way to differentiate all the sandboxing from the more "official" specifications...
Michel Rutten (Nov 03 2017 at 13:46):
Hi @John Moehrke, Simplifier provides custom workflows for enterprise accounts. This feature allows you to define custom status codes:
http://docs.simplifier.net/simplifier/simplifierOrganizationPortal.html?highlight=workflow
John Moehrke (Nov 03 2017 at 14:28):
I appreciate that, but the situation would seem to benefit from standardization... :-)
Michel Rutten (Nov 03 2017 at 14:29):
All custom status codes must be mapped to a default FHIR status code. So the custom codes only have meaning within your project.
Simone Heckmann (Nov 03 2017 at 14:33):
Well, for me, I have both the HL7 Germany Base Profiles I'm working on (that project is associated with the Organization) and I have my own Sandbox project. While both are "draft", we use the BaseProfiles only for coordinated stuff, whereas all the testing and trying happens in the sandbox. IHE could do the same with all authors having their own sandbox but only the "official" stuff - even if still draft - could go into an IHE associated project.
Maybe simplifier could in the future somehow "highlight" artefacts from associated projects, e.g. in search result list.
John Moehrke (Nov 03 2017 at 14:55):
Yes, I was thinking that might be what I need to do... I have a few projects myself. I can't even keep myself organized...
Martijn Harthoorn (Nov 07 2017 at 09:01):
@Simone Heckmann, apparently your project is not under the HL7 DE org. In Simplifier you can create projects under an organization - that makes them 'linked'. In this case that did not happen. Do you want us to move it there? It has no other consequences.
Simone Heckmann (Nov 07 2017 at 09:04):
Um. Yes sure! I was pretty sure, we had it linked initially ... but then again: a lot has happened since then :)
Martijn Harthoorn (Nov 07 2017 at 14:03):
@Simone: we added the basisProfilDE under your organization. You did have that project added to the organization "Endorsed" list, but not as part of the organization itself. Now it is. -- and you can see it on the project page now.
Simone Heckmann (Nov 07 2017 at 14:13):
Geat, Thanks! :)
