Hi! I’m looking for a Finnish open source project related to FHIR that I could contribute to. Is it possible to contribute to Kanta PHR as an open source developer?
Recently, I have worked on FHIRcast project and I would now like to get involved in FHIR projects in Finland. And join the Finnish FHIR community, of course.
Mikael Rinnetmäki (Feb 13 2019 at 14:16):
@Antti Kalliokoski Welcome to the community!
We (Sensotrend) are currently exploring options for making at least parts of our current work open source. You can expect more info in a few months.

I know that also Omaolo is considering opening up at least some of their repositories. See https://github.com/omahoito for what's currently there. And https://www.omaolo.fi for the service itself.

@Mikael Rinnetmäki Thanks! It’s very nice to hear that Sensotrend is considering making some code open source.
Excellent, I’ll browse those Omaolo Github repositories and see what’s there. I was googling for Virtuaalisairaala 2.0 and related stuff but didn’t find much. Googling “Omaolo Github” would have worked.
Mikael Rinnetmäki (Feb 14 2019 at 06:04):
Yeah, I haven't heard Open Source having been in Virtuaalisairaala's interests. But for ODA/Omaolo it has been from the start. And I know they are actively discussing opening up more repositories. In fact, a lot more of their repos used to be open before the project was transitioned to SoteDigi Oy.
