I'm going to post an issue to the CQL issue tracker for developing a comprehensive test suite. It shouldn't (ha) be a massive job to cover the core functionality of the language

argubly the test suite needs to be tied firmly to the standar

most of this can be done without any reference to external data (which means should be able to run > 1000 tests in < 1 sec
