never heard about it and I am in ETL/data warehousing field for quite some time. Honestly I have hard time understanding what this product is actually doing - docs are confusing and no screenshots at all.

That is kind of my problem too. My IT Infra guy says it is important. Hope that anyone on the zulip fhir chat does have experience with this...

I am working on Data Governance and iRODS seems to cover a bit of that spectrum, namely the technical metadata bit. (i take this impression from the slides and possibly biased by my own perspective)
