Topic: Medication Offset
Marten Smits (Apr 10 2017 at 20:47):
Having trouble defining that certain medication needs to be taken 24-72h after primary therapy is completed. Similar to gForge #6255. @Lloyd McKenzie Has there been any outcome of this issue since then?
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 10 2017 at 21:09):
You use http://hl7.org/fhir/StructureDefinition/cqif-cqlExpression within the timing element
Marten Smits (Apr 11 2017 at 15:19):

Lee Surprenant (Apr 12 2017 at 14:33):
Marten, thinking about this some more, this type of timing offset is already supported in RequestGroup (and PlanDefinition). See RequestGroup.action.relatedAction
Lee Surprenant (Apr 12 2017 at 14:36):
The idea is that you could wrap the requests in a request group and that could contain the relative relationships between the different requests
Lee Surprenant (Apr 12 2017 at 14:38):
however, I think its still fair to ask if this information should be included within each request (either in addition to the RequestGroup or instead of it)
Sadiq Saleh (Apr 12 2017 at 17:29):
This is in line with discussions we have been having internally as well. Should the individual Requests that are part of the request group contain the timing information or should they be listed at the level of the RequestGroup? Does one set of timing information override the other?
I had meant to bring it up when we discussed grouping requests, but we hadn't reached that point on the call.
