Hi Guys, it would be great if people attending the connectathon put their contact details in conMan (CONnectathon MANager btw). It should be simple:
1. Navigate to http://conman.fhir.org/connectathon.html?event=baltimore2018
2. At the login screen, click the 'Register new person' link, and enter your name there, then login to the app. No password is needed.
3. Find yourself in the 'peoples' tab (there's a filter box above the list to make it easy) then edit your entry to add contact details - especially your primary track and tracks of interest.
You only need to do this once - the login details are cached in the browser cache (If you use a different browser, then you'll be able to select your name from the list - you don't need to register again).
If you are hosting a server, then enter the details on the server tab (appears when any track is selected). Remember to click the 'Check CapabilityStatement' link to load the capabilityStatement which sets the FHIR version (and also shows the 'Server Capability tab'
If you want to view the capabilities of an existing server, then select the 'view' link in the list and click the 'Check CapabilityStatement' link again (the CapabilityStatements are not saved in the database as they get large so need to be loaded each time)
To see who in interested/participation in each track, use the 'Participation Report' tab.
If there are any issues - use this chat. See you in Baltimore!

Hi Guys - I've stood up a conman instance at http://conman.fhir.org/connectathon.html?event=sanant2019 for those tracks using it...
Bryn Rhodes (Nov 09 2018 at 01:32):
Thanks @David Hay, linked!
David Hay (May 01 2019 at 15:58):
A reminder to track leads that the conman connectathon tool is available at http://conman.clinfhir.com/connectathon.html?event=montreal2019
If you're going to use this to track participation in your stream then be sure to create an entry for your track ahead of the event (I note a number of you already have) so that users can indicate their participation and register their servers and clients. Should be pretty straight forward (and remember that these will all be 'technical' tracks), but feel free to reach out for help - either through the chat or directly to me - david.hay25 at gmail.com
Jenni Syed (Aug 26 2019 at 14:35):
The link on the connectathon page still points to conman in Montreal. @David Hay do we have a new link? My guess on the event code failed :)
David Hay (Aug 26 2019 at 18:31):
Apologies Jenni - thanks for reminding me - all set up now! (and I bet your guess was correct :) )
Jenni Syed (Aug 26 2019 at 18:54):
Thanks! And yup, see it now :)
Peter Jordan (Sep 13 2019 at 20:47):
@David Hay is there a version of ConMan available for the Atlanta Connectathon (#22)?
Jenni Syed (Sep 13 2019 at 21:51):
http://conman.clinfhir.com/connectathon.html?event=atlanta2019
Jenni Syed (Sep 14 2019 at 18:08):
@David Hay what happened to the servers tab? I'm not seeing it anymore
Ron Shapiro (Sep 14 2019 at 18:18):
@Jenni Syed , I found it reappeared once I clicked on a specific track.
Jenni Syed (Sep 14 2019 at 18:19):
Fun :)
Jenni Syed (Sep 14 2019 at 18:20):
thanks!
David Hay (Sep 14 2019 at 18:37):
which track? It needs to be of type 'technical' to show...
David Hay (Sep 14 2019 at 18:37):
:)
Jenni Syed (Sep 14 2019 at 19:09):
This is just the broad server tab that crosses tracks. Was expecting it to always show
Jenni Syed (Sep 14 2019 at 19:09):
What is the prescribed way to add a server to a specific track? I haven't found anything other than "EndPoint"
Jenni Syed (Sep 14 2019 at 19:09):
But then I have to re-document what I already added to the generic servers list
David Hay (Sep 14 2019 at 20:32):
The tab only shows when a technical track is selected (I'm going to remove non-technical tracks after the event so it will always appear then.
To add a server to a track, select the track, then the 'technical testing tab. You'll see all the scenarios for that track in a list across the page. To the right of each scenario is an 'add server link that allows you to add a server to that scenario in a given role (which is defined in the scenario). After this, the track/role will appear alongside the server in the servers tab.
There's a client link to the left that does the same for clients.
User Interface (and functionality) suggestions always welcomed!
David Hay (Sep 14 2019 at 20:35):
BTW - planning on re-naming conman to 'Event Manager' - apparently my sense of humour is very Kiwi specific (or, maybe, not even that :) ). I'm also going to pull out the Graph Building part (used for the clinician event) into a separate app, making conman / event manager a technical connectathon app only. Will help to simplify the UI hopefully...
Carl Anderson (Dec 11 2019 at 21:56):
Does anyone here know what the conman event code for the CMS Connectathon in Baltimore Jan, 2020 is / will be?
David Hay (Dec 11 2019 at 23:49):
haven't set it up yet! Will make it sydney2020 and ping when done...
Josh Mandel (Dec 12 2019 at 01:34):
(Note @David Hay you probably want "Baltimore 2020" for this one :-))
David Hay (Dec 12 2019 at 02:02):
oops - sorry, yes!
David Hay (Dec 12 2019 at 17:42):
... and done! http://conman.clinfhir.com/connectathon.html?event=sydney2020 and http://conman.clinfhir.com/connectathon.html?event=baltimore2020
Michael Donnelly (Apr 21 2020 at 13:17):
The Conman link on https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIR/2020-05+Connectathon+24 is dead. Are we using it this time? If so, what's the correct link?
David Johnson (Apr 21 2020 at 13:17):
Is it dead because it points you to a login or is it just not coming up for you?
David Johnson (Apr 21 2020 at 13:18):
I'm seeing this content when logged in: image.png
David Johnson (Apr 21 2020 at 13:18):
oh wait, i see, the conman link
David Hay (Apr 21 2020 at 18:15):
Sorry - haven't set up a conman instance yet - will do so today and ping this chat...
David Hay (Apr 23 2020 at 02:32):
Should all be running at http://conman.clinfhir.com/connectathon.html?event=hl7online
let me know if there are any issues...
David Hay (May 12 2020 at 18:28):
BTW - if you are having any issues with conman then be sure to '@ include' me and I'll resolve as fast as possible (though I am in NZ timezone). I suspect the chat traffic will be heavy this connectathon!
Michael Donnelly (May 13 2020 at 12:37):
Good guess.
David Hay (Aug 20 2020 at 06:53):
Conman instance at http://conman.clinfhir.com/connectathon.html?event=con25
Note that there's an issue using the brave browser - related to cookies I think that I haven't had a chance to debug, so that browser won't work... (at least at the moment)...
David Hay (Aug 20 2020 at 06:53):
and just for @Josh Mandel - I promise to work on SSL for next time :)
Josh Mandel (Aug 20 2020 at 13:19):
Brave is currently my default on Android ;-)
David Hay (Aug 20 2020 at 18:31):
I'd better put in the effort then! I use Brave myself, but wasn't sure how widespread its use was ...
Peter Jordan (Aug 31 2020 at 20:55):
@David Hay do we need to add the Terminology Services Track to ConMan in order for you to be able to import the TS scenarios from the previous Connectathon (#24) or can you import an entire Track? @Rob Hausam it would be good to have all this set up by/at the weekend so we don't run out of time due to client commitments!
Rob Hausam (Aug 31 2020 at 20:56):
Yes, agree, Peter.
David Hay (Aug 31 2020 at 21:20):
No worries! I'll do that in the next day or so & ping you when done...
David Hay (Sep 03 2020 at 21:29):
all done!
Peter Jordan (Sep 03 2020 at 22:50):
Wonderful, many thanks @David Hay . All ready for you to add yourself and more details (e.g. Track Lead) @Rob Hausam
Rob Hausam (Sep 04 2020 at 13:39):
@Peter Jordan Done.
David Hay (Dec 21 2020 at 23:22):
Have set up conman for connectathon 26 for those who use it
@Peter Jordan have copied across the terminology track for you...
BTW - There is an issue using the Brave browser that I have yet to track down - chrome works fine tho...
