Synthea has a "split record" feature that may or may not be useful for the Patient Merge track. See https://github.com/synthetichealth/synthea/wiki/Splitting-Records-and-Duplicate-Data if you want a dataset to run your algorithms on.

Thanks Jason, A couple of us are busy working on our implementations after some discussion this morning and reviewing @Charles Ye s implementation.
