Welcome! Ready to use ResearchKit/ResearchStack in a :fhir: FHIR environment?

Alright, for those interested in the Medical Research track, since this is the first run of this track we are very flexible in what we want to do and can pivot based on interest (or of course work all by oneself). There will be an intro to medical research in general on Thursday at 9:45, after that we'll dig in. For those interested in ResearchKit/ResearchStack, there will be a tutorial on Friday at 9:00.

Please attend any session on Wednesday that stills your hunger! Depending on your FHIR proficiency, you might choose the FHIR introduction session, then maybe the SMART on FHIR session at 10:30 and Structured data capture/Questionnaire session at 11:15.

We will likely work on data collection on mobile devices (can also be web services) and how to deliver this data back to the researcher. This also involves servers that accept (encrypted?) data from these devices as well as backend servers that might do analytics or even show visualizations of the responses coming in. You can read up on one such toolchain on http://c3-pro.org if you so desire. Looking forward! 🤘🏼

Thanks for the great session! Can I find your slides somewhere?

Thanks! Yes, they should be on http://www.slideshare.net/DevDays soon, or they live on my Dropbox: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6971499/DevDays16%20Medical%20Research.pdf

Since our table is always taken over by the _Terminology_ folks I'm trying to sit nearby, come and find me if needed!

We should have requested another table, Pascal (maybe you did?). I'm not sure why they thought we could split it. I hadn't realized that we were encroaching that much - apologies for that!

No worries Rob! Now at least I have an excuse as to why the team doesn't have a demo. :)
