Topic: Connectathon Terminology Services Track
Rob Hausam (Sep 03 2017 at 21:58):
We are moving the Connectathon Terminology Services Track discussion topic from the implementers stream to this stream in preparation for the upcoming Connectathon 16 in San Diego on September 9-10. It should be easier to find the discussions here, and it may be easier to keep the discussions going between Connectathons, as well. Here is the link to the prior discussions on the implementers stream:
https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/implementers/subject/Connectathon.20Terminology.20Services.20Track
For Connectathon 16 we are working on additional test scripts and capabilities for doing more formal terminology services testing. We will post more details on that here and on the Wiki. We would like to encourage all terminology service providers (both previous and new) to participate in this, and we welcome suggestions for and contributions of additional test cases and test scripts.
We would also like again to encourage everyone working on the other tracks to incorporate and integrate the use of terminology services into your development and testing as much as possible. If there are questions about how to do that or issues that you encounter, feel free to post them here or on the terminology stream and we'll be happy to try to help in working out the details.

Thanks, Rob. I've updated the Track Admin details in the Terminology Services Track Wiki Page accordingly - and hereby notify @Ewout Kramer as requested by @David Hay.

All participants in the terminology services track: as part of the vocab UTG project, I've made a terminology service tool kit available. It can:
- search your server
- open, edit, and save code systems and value sets
- do value set expansion
it would be good if the server participants can check that it works against your server.
you can get it from http://www.healthintersections.com.au/FhirServer

@Peter Jordan Can you post the wiki page link here? I know I am lazy.

Rob Hausam (Sep 09 2017 at 14:11):
Looking forward to C16 starting today! As I mentioned a few days ago, in the Terminology Services Track we've made a lot of updates to the test scripts and will be working on further enhancing formal testing of the terminology services. We encourage anyone to suggest additional tests (positive or negative) that we may not yet have included, and for terminology service providers to make your servers available for testing and also make sure that we have them listed correctly on the Wiki.
And we want to encourage the other Connectathon tracks to use the terminology services wherever possible. As I said before, we're happy to help you with figuring out how best to do that.
If we've missed anything else on the Wiki pages that still needs to be updated, let us know. Looking forward to seeing everyone this morning!

Any Server implementations that have passed the full suite of C16 Touchstone Tests (or relevant parts thereof)?
May Terry (Sep 09 2017 at 19:30):
@Grahame Grieve - here's the request that generated the "Invalid precision value" response: http://test.fhir.org/r3/CodeSystem/$subsumes?system=http://snomed.info/sct&codeA=249565005&codeB=235856003
Joel Schneider (Sep 09 2017 at 21:21):
I'm looking for server implementations that support the CodeSystem/$compose operation ...
A FHIR Bundle containing a CodeSystem and ValueSet I'd like to test with CodeSystem/$compose is here (inside zipfile):
https://s3.amazonaws.com/nmdp-fhir-terminology/who/fhir-imgt-hla-terminology-20170729.zip
It may be possible to load the (CodeSystem and ValueSet) Bundle using a curl command such as this:
curl \ --silent --show-error \ --data \@fhir-imgt-hla-terminology-bundle.json \ --header "Content-Type: application/fhir+json" \ http://localhost:8080/baseDstu3
However, the CodeSystem contains 18373 concepts, so loading it via the FHIR API might stress the server.
Anyone here with a server interested in giving this a try?
Grahame Grieve (Sep 09 2017 at 22:59):
I thought my server implements this
Joel Schneider (Sep 10 2017 at 18:30):
I had some trouble connecting to http://test.fhir.org/r3/ValueSet/$lookup
Grahame Grieve (Sep 10 2017 at 19:09):
what kind of trouble?
Joel Schneider (Sep 10 2017 at 19:33):
Postman was unable to connect (with a POST request)

Grahame Grieve (Sep 11 2017 at 14:57):
ok. I just restarted the server - try again
Joel Schneider (Sep 11 2017 at 23:39):
Getting a 500 error now. Trying to look up something from a code system that may not exist in the server.
