For the upcoming HL7 FHIR connectathon, will we be able to run our testing from our internet based development server, or will it be a closed local environment with local IP's (similar to IHE connectathons)?
Can you let me know asap so I can build a local environment if necessary.

Internet access to cloud servers is the norm. We try to enable direct machine to machine connections too, though on occasion the hotels mess that up or charge something way too exorbitant to allow it.

nvm updated it to jdk 1.11 and got it work. github readme still has 1.8

Yes, we updated to 11 recently, looks like we missed that reference. I've submitted a PR to correct it.
