Topic: Connectathon 27 Session Times
Corey Spears (Mar 23 2021 at 15:16):
The Connectathon 27 schedule is based on UTC time zone, if I am not mistaken. Has there been any discussion about timing for realm specific track sessions? It does not make much sense to have sessions based on a European time zone if the IG and the vast majority of its track participants are based somewhere else (as is the case for a number of our US based Accelerator IGs) and there is not a lot of cross-over with other tracks.
Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 23 2021 at 15:18):
Overall kickoff and closing will be based on UK time. Tracks that may be 'of interest' in Europe are strongly encouraged to have any educational sessions or key discussion sessions at a UK-friendly time. Actual 'work' and 'office hours' can happen as best suits the track participants.
Peter Jordan (Mar 23 2021 at 21:00):
In May the UK is on British Summer Time (BST) which is one hour ahead of UTC. TTBOMK the May Connectathon and WGM are both scheduled on UTC, not BST.
