Topic: AuditEvent of Provenance
John Moehrke (Sep 15 2019 at 13:04):
Is anyone working with AuditEvent or Provenance? I am working on an app that uses AuditEvent, so would like to find some data to look at.
Jason Walonoski (Sep 15 2019 at 13:27):
If you use the latest version of Synthea, and enable US Core (off by default), it will produce a Provenance resource in each Bundle it produces. No AuditEvents though.
Jason Walonoski (Sep 15 2019 at 13:27):
I can supply a sample Bundle if you want.

yes please do. If you don't mind your samples might become discussion this week at security wg, and/or brought into an IG or core as good examples.
Jason Walonoski (Sep 15 2019 at 14:11):
That assumes they are good examples. ;)

There are 10 files in that folder. Each contains a Bundle with a single Patient and associated resources. The last resource in each Bundle should be a Provenance. Let me know if you have issues.
John Moehrke (Sep 15 2019 at 15:05):
thanks. I will look
John Moehrke (Sep 15 2019 at 19:03):
The Provenance looks okay... minimal... I would like to see the Provenance.activity indicate the activity that caused the export, or even just the fact that this was an export... Mostly why was this bundle with this Provenance and resources created; should be explained in the Provenance.
John Moehrke (Sep 15 2019 at 19:06):
now that brings up a problem I have noticed... the Provenance.activity does not include a very helpful valueset. It should have more useful activities including the EHR lifecycle events. There is a CP, would appreciate support at addressing GF#23712
