Topic: v3 human language value set

Quick sanity check please. The existing v3 value set for human languages (https://www.hl7.org/fhir/v3/HumanLanguage/vs.html) seems to take codes from ISO 3166 which seem to be country codes. This should be corrected right? The web page says the value set is not currently used, so maybe it can just go away...

Can this be fixed with a FHIR Jira ticket or does some V3 authority have to fix it? Thanks

The FHIR language value set takes value from bcp:47 https://www.hl7.org/fhir/valueset-languages.html
Should these two be synchronized?

Changes to v3 stuff need to go through the Unified Terminology Governance process (which is still being stood up). FHIR just publishes a copy of what's in the v3 source of truth. The intention is to stop publishing these as soon as UTG is up and running.

I don't think we'll be looking at synchronizing v3 stuff with FHIR. In general when we defined FHIR we looked at the v2 and v3 stuff and if we made it different, we did so for good reason.
