@Rob Hausam https://github.com/grahamegrieve/fhirserver/issues/100 - have we looked at NL licensing before? (@David Simons )
Rob Hausam (Sep 24 2021 at 14:58):
I don't think we've had a discussion for the NL SNOMED CT Edition before. But it will be great to work that out, and we can certainly add it once we have obtained the source. We are working out the process of adding the Danish extension (which we will load as an edition in combination with the International Edition content). The access to the Danish extension is being approved through the SNOMED MLDS. If there is a complete Netherlands Edition download available, that is either, but otherwise we could use a similar process with the MLDS.

Yes, I suspect you need to go via https://mlds.ihtsdotools.org/, which will redirect to NL Nictiz to handle the application.
Grahame Grieve (Sep 24 2021 at 15:04):
in the past, discussions with the NRO have been difficult. We're probably past that point in the process, but David you might need to assist the NRO to understand our application
Rob Hausam (Sep 24 2021 at 15:07):
I'm happy to go ahead and make the request through MLDS.

Is there a LICENSE for tx.fhir.org use, that e.g. scopes its use to Research & Development only? ie. non-production use. That may help also with the licensing of content being made available to it. A topic for the /docs perhaps.
Grahame Grieve (Sep 24 2021 at 15:09):
Not sure what the NRO decides. But mostly it's OK now... depends whether the person processing it at the NRO is aware of the wider relationship between HL7 and Snomed Intl.
Rob Hausam (Nov 08 2021 at 04:50):
@David Simons My MLDS request was approved, and after working out some further issues with the import code, the SNOMED CT Netherlands Edition is now loaded on tx.fhir.org.
David Simons (Nov 08 2021 at 08:47):
Thank you much! I will convey this to our teams
