Grahame Grieve (Jun 22 2021 at 13:46):
restarting now
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 22 2021 at 14:24):
It was up briefly, but now down again
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 24 2021 at 03:42):
Hello All, I have observed that Snomed codes are not getting validated using tx server. Getting following exception: "Unknown code {http://snomed.info/sct}74400008 for 'http://snomed.info/sct#74400008'".
Is anyone else facing similar issue?
Grahame Grieve (Jun 24 2021 at 05:30):
how do we reproduce this issue?
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 24 2021 at 11:00):
HAPI validator is internally referring to tx.fhir.org for terminology. Hence while validating any resource through HAPI validator, it is throwing exception for snomed codes
Grahame Grieve (Jun 24 2021 at 11:04):
ok what's the actual request (url + body)
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 24 2021 at 16:00):
Thank you.. I guess it is working now... Not getting any exception.
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 25 2021 at 12:02):
tx server is again down. getting following exception:
org.hl7.fhir.exceptions.FHIRException: Unable to connect to terminology server. Use parameter '-tx n/a' tun run without using terminology services to validate LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-X etc. Error = Error sending Http Request: Connect to tx.fhir.org:80 timed out
Please help.
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 12:04):
I'll check the server.
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 25 2021 at 12:14):
Thanks @Rob Hausam
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 12:18):
It should be back up again now.
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 25 2021 at 12:19):
Thanks.. it is up now
Brian Kaney (Jun 25 2021 at 13:20):
Hmm, I think it's down now @Rob Hausam ? (https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/tx.fhir.org)
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 25 2021 at 13:21):
I thought we were supposed to have a monitor now?
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 13:21):
@Brian Kaney Yes. Ironically, that's because I'm working on installing the monitoring service that will keep it up and running. :)
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 13:22):
@Lloyd McKenzie Yes, it hadn't been set up yet.
Brian Kaney (Jun 25 2021 at 13:23):
Ha @Rob Hausam - that's very funny!
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 13:24):
Server should be back up again now. But it could go down again - temporarily.
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 25 2021 at 13:32):
It has :(
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 13:36):
Restarting again. There may be an issue to resolve with the monitor during the startup process - I'm checking that out.
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 13:44):
Sorry for the churn here. It looks like we still have a bit of work to do on the monitor. Will be back up in a few minutes.
Rob Hausam (Jun 25 2021 at 13:45):
It's up now.
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 30 2021 at 07:54):
It looks like tx server is again down. Please help.
Rob Hausam (Jun 30 2021 at 07:55):
It's coming back up in a moment.
Rob Hausam (Jun 30 2021 at 07:56):
It's back up now.
Ankita Srivastava (Jun 30 2021 at 08:32):
Thank You @Rob Hausam

Attempt to use Terminology server when no Terminology server is available since yesterday
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 01 2021 at 14:39):
It seems to be up right now?
Rob Hausam (Jul 01 2021 at 14:59):
Yes, it's up. I should be able to install the updated monitor service today. That definitely will help all of us with keeping it up and available.
Ankita Srivastava (Jul 05 2021 at 05:24):
Tx server is again down. Please look into this.
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 05 2021 at 14:54):
@Rob Hausam @Mark Iantorno
Mark Iantorno (Jul 05 2021 at 14:54):
I restarted it this morning
Mark Iantorno (Jul 05 2021 at 14:54):
it's up now
Mark Iantorno (Jul 05 2021 at 14:54):
@Lloyd McKenzie
Rob Hausam (Jul 05 2021 at 14:59):
Yes. I'll post a notice when the monitor is set up and running.
Mark Iantorno (Jul 05 2021 at 14:59):
You can always go to validator.fhir.org and look at the top right
Mark Iantorno (Jul 05 2021 at 14:59):
there is an indicator

Would it be helpful to put this message in the IG publisher output when it fails because the server isn't available?
Grahame Grieve (Jul 06 2021 at 10:52):
it already is
David Pyke (Jul 06 2021 at 15:28):
If you get a timeout and it can't read the CapabilityStatement, that's when you know it's down
Rob Hausam (Jul 20 2021 at 09:00):
Just an FYI to everone that we're having serious issues with the tx.fhir.org server right now, and we'll try to get them resolved as soon as possible! See the Term server is down... topic in IG creation for more details.
Rob Hausam (Jul 21 2021 at 00:39):
I've just posted an update on the current terminology server status here.
David Hay (Jul 21 2021 at 02:46):
BTW - if you want to keep on going, the Ontoserver option described above seems to work fine...
Josh Mandel (Jul 21 2021 at 03:27):
(Auto IG builder pipeline is now using ontoserver.)
