I don't find a code system specified, so wonder if there is a well-known one that I just don't know?

That example does not seem to be a "USHIK" code system, it appears to be an x12 code system that USHIK is displaying, but this element does not show up in the list of external codes they provide. Not sure what that might mean given USHIK seems to be fine with making it available (but they can be mistaken.) @Carol Macumber I suspect this is not covered by current x12 HTA material so what next?

This code system does not appear in the current list of external codes provided by X12 https://x12.org/codes/.
However, the information from the USHIK link points to a specific version of a Technical Report produced by X12 (005010, published in 2003 where there are three separate reports (X12C - Communication and Controls, X12F - FInance and X12N - Insurance). The most recent publication of all three TR3s is a 2020 edition containing all technical reports published in 2020. There is also a 2021 edition for the X12N report.
As these are licensed products that I can't view, I'll need confirmation from someone (@MaryKay McDaniel can you comment?) that these codes are in the stated X12 TR3 and we can register the code system information in a similar way as we have for X12 System Application Reject Reason Code (ARRC) (used by Davinci, also not in the list of external codes from X12)

Yes, these are from one x12 Code system, specific to the 5010 version transactions. It appears in the 278 (PA) and 837 Claims. It is an internal code system, i.e., internal to the actual IG. You must have a license to view/use/etc.
No it is not currently in any of the HTA work we've done. Haven't needed it - so far. But, yes we can if there is a need. You still won't get the actual list of codes, but we can get a code system name established.

excellent. So IHE is working on an IG for some EMS flows, including NEMSIS modeling. There is a desire to have these codes available in that specification. Not necessarily do they need to be published there, but we need to have profiling that can define a valueset. Thus, we need a system code, and it would be nice if the valueset could expand. To say again, when we look at that web site, there is no system value defined.

Is this the only ambulance transport code set you need?
