Topic: Terminology Mappings
Alexander Dimitrov (Sep 13 2021 at 19:05):
Hello, has a Concept Map been published for the transformation of ICD Codes to SNOMED, which could afterwards be used with the $translate Operation within the FHIR Mapping Language to do the mapping between the terminologies? Or is there a way to generate such Concept Maps with databases as athena.ohdsi.org? Any suggestions and experiences in this area would be very appreciated!

no there isn't such a concept map published, and I'm not sure who'd care to take on the liabilit associated with that
-
no, there isn't a way. Yet. It's on the todo list.

Hello @Rob Hausam , we are implementing FHIR Terminology Client Consumer cases, have doubt on below two, please elaborate on below,
• References to SNOMED CT and LOINC implicit value sets
• Create (POST, PUT) ValueSet resources referencing in-line and/or external code systems

NLM publishes a map, with all the caveats you'd expect about completeness and lossiness and risk.
It's not a ConceptMap. And it's ICD-10 CM (US).
Mareike Przysucha (Sep 15 2021 at 13:27):
athena from OHDSI has such a mapping (as Alexander Dimitrov mentioned(?)), at least for the German modification. But it's no ConceptMap...
Mareike Przysucha (Sep 15 2021 at 13:28):
That's at least what a colleague of mine from Germany told me.
Davera Gabriel (Sep 15 2021 at 14:05):
@Anurag Dongre were your questions covered in the Connecathon session just now?
Anurag Dongre (Sep 15 2021 at 22:10):
Yes Davera, Thank you!
Anurag Dongre (Sep 15 2021 at 22:10):
