I've had several requests for IGs to contain spreadsheet versions of terminology resources. This is to help many people who want to do ad-hoc things with the content, and know how to work with excel. So from the next release, the IG publisher will start generating spreadsheets for CodeSystems, ValueSets, and ConceptMaps.

However, it's not immediately obvious what 'a spreadsheet' means for these resources. So they won't be published immediately- first, we'll hash out our expectations of what they should look like. I have a code system and a value set here:

from the next validator release, you can generate them yourself:

run

-version 4.0 -spreadsheet [source-file] -output [output-file]

and you'll get the spreadsheet that the IG publisher would produce.

Is this change subject to https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIRI/Publisher-impacting+Change+Process ?
