Topic: SNOMED CT US Ed. update to 2021-03?
May Terry (Mar 30 2021 at 13:22):
Hi there! Just want to confirm that the IG publisher's default terminology server is not yet updated to contain the latest US Edition from 2021-03? Reason is that for our mCODE IG STU2 to be balloted this May, we have a new code released in this edition which we need for staging SCT#897275008 "American Joint Commission on Cancer, Cancer Staging Manual, 8th edition neoplasm staging system (tumor staging)"
and QA report is generating invalid code errors. We're keeping it in our IG anyway since we know it is a valid code: https://browser.ihtsdotools.org/?perspective=full&conceptId1=255551008&edition=MAIN/SNOMEDCT-US/2021-03-01&release=&languages=en

Yes, since the new version was released at the beginning of this month the US Edition needs to be updated. I have to do the import for it on a separate machine and then transfer it to tx.fhir.org, and I haven't done that yet. But I should be able have that done by either later today or tomorrow. @May Terry @Lloyd McKenzie

Thanks @Rob Hausam!

Hi Rob!
Just checking on the SNOMED US Edition update? We'd like to have our QA Report errors cleaned up before the ballot content freeze. If you're busy, then @Lloyd McKenzie - would this be an acceptable error since it's explainable?
Rob Hausam (Apr 02 2021 at 20:37):
@May Terry Hi. I didn't get to this as quickly as I had wanted to, but there's a significant need for this (not only yours) and I'm going to go ahead and work on getting it done now. I'll let you know when it's ready.
Rob Hausam (Apr 02 2021 at 21:53):
@May Terry The March 2021 version of the SNOMED CT US Edition is now loaded on tx.fhir.org. Let me know if it's working as expected for you (or particularly if you see any issues).
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 05 2021 at 15:26):
If it's valid in the authoritative source but the tx server just doesn't recognize it, that won't interfere with ability to publish
Rob Hausam (Apr 06 2021 at 16:36):
It should be working on tx.fhir.org now. If not, let me know.
May Terry (Apr 07 2021 at 13:42):
Thanks Rob! we're checking now.
May Terry (Apr 07 2021 at 13:52):
@Rob Hausam - looks good now. Thanks for the update! :-)
May Terry (Apr 07 2021 at 14:01):
@Lloyd McKenzie - works now, but agreed. the issue wasn't necessarily the IG ability to publish. It was so that we don't run into any process hurdles to block the mCODE IG from the ballot release in case there was a check for QA Report errors. We prefer to keep our builds as clean and error free as possible.
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 07 2021 at 15:37):
I meant interfere with the ability to publish "process-wise". I.e. the FMG won't yell at you :)
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 07 2021 at 15:38):
(Appreciate that you want to keep your builds clean and error-free  )
