Topic: LOINC Document Types for Administrative/Payer Domain?

Has there been any thought or past discussion on expanding the LOINC Clinical Document Ontology to include the Payer Subject Matter Domain? If so, where can I find out more or potentially participate in its addition. A document ontology is being possibly considered for the Payer Coverage Decision Exchange and it seems logical to leverage LOINC's ontology.

That may be a reasonable thing to consider, and probably best to discuss it directly with LOINC. @Swapna Abhyankar?

@May Terry , this would be great to discuss on one of the monthly LOINC Document Ontology Subcommittee calls. They're the second Tuesday of each month from 2-3 pm Eastern time and you can sign up here - https://loinc.org/committee/document-ontology/. Would you be able to give a short presentation about the need and then we can discuss as a group? Thank you!

Thanks @Rob Hausam and @Swapna Abhyankar . Yes, I'll be happy to give a short presentation on the need for standardizing the exchange of payer-related documents. Also cc'ing @Robert Dieterle who would be great to add to the discussion.
