Topic: ECG Lead codes
Patrick Werner (Sep 16 2021 at 07:52):
We are currently creating a profile for ECGs. In the Observation Example the concepts for the leads are coming from: 2.16.840.1.113883.6.24 (ISO/IEEE 11073)
Patrick Werner (Sep 16 2021 at 07:53):
Are these concepts publicly available? International allignment for ECG shouldn't be so hard - but without lead codes it isn't possible.
Patrick Werner (Sep 16 2021 at 08:43):
found the ValueSet here: http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/uv-pocd/ValueSet-11073MDC-metric.html
Robert McClure (Sep 16 2021 at 15:12):
As I'm sure you are aware, ISO specifications and the code systems they describe are not free for use, but they are available  to the public

Would LOINC ECG codes help?

Good point. I was assuming the request was to identify the leads as "the result" but of course, that does not make a lot of sense. Each lead is actually an observation with a result. @Patrick Werner how do you plan to use these codes?

these codes are planend to be used in Observation.component.code, value would be SampleData/Raw ECG lead data

Thanks for pointing to loinc, i thougt there weren't abstract lead codes included into loinc, but they are
