I know I've seen this somewhere: a code to use in .designation.use for a consumer friendly term, but I can't remember where. Have we agreed on a code to use for this purpose?

Looking at FHIR-19960, I see consumer in http://terminology.hl7.org/CodeSystem/hl7TermMaintInfra and the comment:

Grahame has promised to add the two codes 'consumer' and 'preferredForLanguage' to the FHIR designation-use value set in R5 core.

Personally, I still believe display plays the identical role to preferredForLanguage, but display appears not to be widely known.

Of course we've had a lot of discussion on this. And it feels like we haven't quite run it to ground yet, but we need to get it there (now).
