Topic: ACME Code System (Glasgow Coma Scale GCS)
Michaela Ziegler (May 25 2020 at 11:38):
I am currently working on an example of an observation for the Glasgow Coma Scale and have looked at the FHIR example (https://www.hl7.org/fhir/observation-example-glasgow.html). Does anyone know the code system ACME http://acme.ec/codes, which is used to map the individual values (motor, eyes, verbal)? And/or has anyone already integrated the GCS in a project and an example?

That is an example of an artificial local coding for this example to illustrate how codes can be combined with the ordinalValue extension to achieve a score. The LOINC definitions already has scoring "built" into its definitions. It should be updated to include comments in the xml and to change the system to http://example.org
