Cool, thanks. We were doing a small PoC so went with direct http calls (bless you, requests library). Very helpful to know this exists. I'm looking to prove out a series of business cases here (and am allergic to Java, .NET and ruby)

Oh sure, I'd have gone the same way (and have a similar feeling towards the tech you mention) :) The Python client can be used for simple validation, I'll show that at the dev days.
