Is there any FHIR implementation / testing planned around UDI? It is called out as a possible element for the devices track @ 2016-09 FHIR connectathon ... and do not want to duplicate effort - but given the need to address patient-device[-operator] association management ... UDI is a necessary element

I wasn't planning any but I'll check with the OO group working with UDI use cases. I could add a test to the financial track to include a device with UDI in a claim.

I think an adverse event would be more compelling for VA - basically we could include ta scenario where the UDI is use to report a problem experienced by a Veteran.
