I wanted to share this journal article which was sent to me. It is a survey/analysis of benefits and challenges which commercial laboratories see regarding making their data available using Standards such as FHIR or HL7. It ends up being a fairly small sample size - but does have some interesting information which likely speaks to the challenges of getting labs to adopt our IG:

I think the 5% response rate itself is also pretty indicative of the current lack of driving factors for genetic labs to focus on adopting standards

I agree somewhat @Jamie Jones - although responding to a survey/request for a journal article is much different than actually utilizing the standards..... I get a lot of requests to participate in items such as this, and only respond to some of them.
