Topic: Jiras in WAITING FOR INPUT
Kevin Power (Jan 06 2022 at 23:02):
I have asked for updates on the remain Ballot comments from the following that I haven't seen responses yet:
@Bret H , @Rachel Kutner , @Patrick Werner
Here is the JIRA filter that shows all that are in WAITING FOR INPUT:
https://jira.hl7.org/issues/?filter=14552
As we try to wrap up ballot reconciliation, we really need to keep these moving forward. If you feel someone else should be assigned, please respond on the JIRA.
Thanks for your time.
Bret H (Jan 07 2022 at 16:39):
@Kevin Power responded. One is 'Future consideration' The other on TOC just have two small items. 1) can the subheadings on the artifact page be used in the list on the TOC artifact list to make it easier to navigate? if yes, then adding would satisfy the JIRA, 2) did not see the new variant guidance in the TOC or elsewhere - I might have missed it (in the Build). (let me know if I can/should help on the technical response to the JIRA)
Kevin Power (Jan 07 2022 at 19:04):
Thanks @Bret H - I responded to your questions on the JIRAs, but for anyone else interested:
1) No, I do not believe we can do that without diverging from the standard IG templates
2) No, it hasn't been merged to master yet. I just pinged @Jamie Jones on that topic in the #genomics/committers stream.
Bret H (Jan 07 2022 at 23:15):
@Kevin Power Thanks. made a note on the remaining JIRA that I feel it can be closed.
Bret H (Jan 07 2022 at 23:16):
just a couple more

@Kevin Power for the three JIRA on annotations. are you just waiting on Patrick's review?
Kevin Power (Jan 07 2022 at 23:18):
Yes, I have asked him to make the official proposals.
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:11):
will add proposals after todays discussion. (I'm unsure about the backport extension).
Kevin Power (Jan 11 2022 at 15:14):
Unsure if we need it versus the extension? Or unsure if we need the ability to have a coded annotation on the report at all?
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:14):
no just the backport extension, especially after reading this: https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/179252-IG-creation/topic/Does.20R5.20backport.20Extension.20.20work.3F
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:15):
apart from that i think the branch is ready to merge, thanks for adding the example and your other updates
Kevin Power (Jan 11 2022 at 15:17):
Thanks for that reference - when I was having problems with the backport, I did some searching on zulip, but completely missed that thread. No idea how :frown:
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:20):
you are very welcome. I have to thank you.
Kevin Power (Jan 11 2022 at 15:20):
So, given all that, you would propose to keep the extension? I really do doubt that DiagnosticReport.note will change before R5.
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:33):
I'm a little bit sceptic about the IG Publisher not supporting the backport extension
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:36):
This could delay the merge of the branch.
Kevin Power (Jan 11 2022 at 15:39):
If the backport extension isn't the way to go, we can undo a couple of commits and it is gone. I left our extension and the example I created still uses our extension (not the backport extension since it didn't work).
Either way, I still think we could use another example or two of coded annotations? I think @Mullai Murugan was going to provide some details?
Patrick Werner (Jan 11 2022 at 15:52):
Will also check our Reports for examples
Mullai Murugan (Jan 11 2022 at 18:21):
We only have thee examples from eMERGE - test disclaimer and two types of comments. I believe I posted all three. Another example could be for confirmation, do you think that will be usual to include?
Kevin Power (Jan 11 2022 at 19:07):

Sorry Mullai, I guess I missed them :frown: . Where did you post those?
Kevin Power (Jan 11 2022 at 20:27):
And yes, if you have something for confirmation, let's include it.
