Topic: Ironing out TBD LOINCs
Jamie Jones (Aug 20 2019 at 18:41):
Can we use https://s.details.loinc.org/LOINC/51963-7.html for TBD-medication in the cancer space? Don't see why we need a different code to signify "we are telling you what drug we are considering for this implication"
Patrick Werner (Aug 20 2019 at 19:57):
seems valid. Other opinions?
Jamie Jones (Aug 20 2019 at 19:59):
Other option would be local code or suggesting a new one, as far as I can see. Clem was suggesting reconciling our PGx and Somatic implications here anyways. I'll pull the descriptions we give currently
Kevin Power (Aug 20 2019 at 19:59):
That Med Assessed seems perfect - how in the heck did we miss that?
Jamie Jones (Aug 20 2019 at 20:00):
The medication whose implication is being described.
for all PGx implicaitons,
The medication or medication class whose implication on the cancer is being predicted.
for somatic predictive
Jamie Jones (Aug 20 2019 at 20:01):
both answers are unbound, first suggests RxNorm
Kevin Power (Aug 20 2019 at 20:03):
The LOINC term does have in its definition "A coded medication assessed in a pharmacogenic test (recommend RxNorm)"
