Great discussion today!! We had suggested that people look for IGs that have good clear documentation in them (perhaps we want to create a Google doc/spreadsheet to capture them), but to start us off.. I very much like the US Core IG.
US Core: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/core/
US CORE Profile (Note: all of their profiles use a very good standard template - this is an example): http://hl7.org/fhir/us/core/StructureDefinition-us-core-diagnosticreport-lab.html

Also Mcode is good:
Mcode - newly balloted home page: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/mcode/2021MAY/index.html

Mcode - Extended example, patient journey: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/mcode/2021MAY/examples.html

regarding our ability to improve the usefulness of the 'detailed descriptions' tabs: here's a mockup of some of what we can do there for one component:

Most of the info from the glossary page could be listed here in the structuredefinition (and we should likely rework the glossary per FHIR#32416)

Totally agree the glossary is not one  if anyone knows of an appropriate glossary we could legally leverage, or wants to begin compiling one..that would be great!

NIH - most of that data is not copyrighted as it is funded with US tax dollars. See https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/genetics-dictionary Also uploading an older CLinVar data dictionary that may be of help ClinVarDataDictionary.pdf All of this is public domain so no copyrights.

Sorry that I had to miss this week's meetings due to extended team meetings which I needed to attend. @Kevin Power @Jamie Jones @Mullai Murugan , I am happy to work on the ballot comments which could/should be related to "Improving Usability" of the IG. I would like to understand if there is a way to create Parent/Child Jira tickets so that we might have a master Jira around this subject and then have a number of discrete child tickets. Would also like input on whether that would make it easier to manage these tickets, or just add complexity. Finally, I want to determine how we kick-off the work to improve the IG (some of the first steps were discussed, and as I remember, voted upon, during the WGM). Please let me know what you think is the best way to move this work and discussion forward ASAP.

I have just finished reviewing the entire "home Page document, which can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u5k9rK66Df3BiLMqzdSNBZWENEXvZehEtZPOKiA0NVA/edit?usp=sharing . I integrated the changes that were requested during our excellent discussion last Tuesday, and made a number of small edits to enhance "readability". I have left a number of comments to the Working Group on the document - and want your input... please! Since our intention was to take a vote on approving the content of this page, for movement into the continuous build of the IG - This coming Tuesday... please take a look, read the comments and provide suggested edits or responses. https://media0.giphy.com/media/ehVD71SQYsCHWrWgvs/giphy.gif?cid=c623cb35dy30bmrz4cez2nbqr78mcel4pgdmpss2ps054clh&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g
