Hi, I am investigating the use of the Task resource to describe the activities in our CarePlan. Now, despite a comment in ProcessRequest saying that it is going to be replaced with Task, currently Task is not included in the list of allowed types for CarePlan.activity.reference.

Shouldn't it be included in that list? Can it still be included (please)?

Thanks,

Theo.

@Theo Stolker check the current build, http://build.fhir.org/careplan.html, Task is included in the activity reference types and has been since the San Antonio meeting in January.

You're very welcome! I am also very interested in uses of CarePlan and its relationship with workflow. Please report back experieces here, or send me a private message, if possible. I am organizing a CarePlan and CareTeam track as part of a FHIR mini-connectathon in Chicago in April, http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=201704_Care_Plan. The details of scenarios for testing are still being updated and refined.

@Theo Stolker , you might also be interested in efforts underway in collaboration with OMG to review workflow standards for healthcare. Ed Hammond is keynote speaker for a workshop on March 20th. I am attending this meeting. http://www.omg.org/news/meetings/tc/va-17/special-events/Healthcare_BPMN.htm

Thanks, Dave, I am kind of familiar with BPMN from a previous life. Right now, we aren't necessarily looking for a true workflow pattern, we are dealing with the logistics of assigning eHealth interventions (games, education, questionnaires) to Patients and their RelatedPersons.

@Dave Carlson The balloted version of the US Core Profiles will be published by April - the latest CI build is http://build.fhir.org/ig/Healthedata1/US-Core/ and no more substantive changes are expected. You should update the Connectathon notes to indicate that.
