Topic: Ballot timing
Josh Mandel (May 03 2021 at 17:16):
Are we intentionally ending the ballot just before the Connectathon? I know this has been the historical pattern, but now that Connectathon and WGM are decoupled, we might want to revisit this in the future. (E.g. for SMARTv2 we'd love to incorporate feedback from the ballot; at STU stage this is still fine, but as more content moves toward normative this will be more of a concern.)
Lloyd McKenzie (May 03 2021 at 17:27):
Not following. You can incorporate feedback from connectathon in the final publication release - whether it was 'voted' on or not...
Josh Mandel (May 03 2021 at 19:12):
In a normative ballot, we can incorporate feedback from outside the ballot process during reconciliation?
Lloyd McKenzie (May 03 2021 at 21:00):
Yes, though if you make substantive changes, you have to go back to ballot again. (Regardless of the source of the change.)
Josh Mandel (May 03 2021 at 21:05):
Ah, thanks for the clarification!

In addition to the jira backlog, do we have a plan for the huge number of pull-requests that are not moving? https://github.com/HL7/fhir/pulls
