I'd like to ask for an exemption to the Substantiative deadline for 2 specific changes to vocab resources:
- there is an approved task which turned out to have editorial issues that need to go back to committee to discussion (defining implicit operations on CodeSystem resource - appears to need a new element on the resource to resolve) Note: as far as I know there are no profiles on code system for this ballot
- there is a task that is not yet approved that requires the addition of a new parameters on the $expand operation on ValueSet.
These will both be discussed and approved (or not) by Vocab prior to the total freeze

Ok with me...
Grahame Grieve (Aug 19 2018 at 20:16):
The ballot desktop lists, as one of the ballots opening:
- HL7 FHIR® Profile: Occupational Data for Health (ODH), Release 1
Does anyone know what makes this a 'profile' as opposed to an implementation guide? Does anyone what the state of this is?
Grahame Grieve (Aug 19 2018 at 20:17):
and has FMG approved this anywhere?
Grahame Grieve (Aug 19 2018 at 21:03):
in fact, so far as I can see, it's not approved. What happens now?
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2018 at 08:01):
ok. Core is posted. I have built the 8 IGs that will also be balloted at this time, and I'm waiting for history notes on 3-4 of them before going ahead and posting them
Grahame Grieve (Aug 21 2018 at 22:10):
this process was messy. I spent more than a day correcting basic missing stuff in the IGs that editors should do. I drafted this for the next time around:

Grahame Grieve (Aug 21 2018 at 22:12):
we may want to extend the breadth of this document; many IG authors were caught by surprise by parts of the process that I didn't document in this page - reconcilation requirements, deadlines in the this page: http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=FHIR_Ballot_Prep
Grahame Grieve (Aug 21 2018 at 22:12):
generally, we need to do this better in the future
Grahame Grieve (Aug 21 2018 at 22:17):
I'll be asking IG authors doing publishing in round #2 of this publishing cycle to follow this (to late for some of it, of course)
