you have about 1hr to review this list

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 19 2017 at 21:41):

task for FMG: clean up the records of what is approved and what is not

view this post on Zulip Paul Knapp (Dec 19 2017 at 21:44):

PaymentReconciliation shouldn't be draft.

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 19 2017 at 21:47):

I do not see an approved resource proposal for it

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 19 2017 at 21:47):

but yes, it was trial use on the last ballot so it remains trial use

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 19 2017 at 21:55):

ImmunizationEvaluation is split from Immunization, so has the same status. ResearchStudy and ResearchSubject were renamed from Study and StudyParticipation but are approved. I'm pretty sure TestReport was also approved but it looks like it was not updated. @Anne Wizauer, can you investigate? Nothing else on that list jumps out to me as wrong.

The PA draft stuff looks right.

thx

Another question: this time, for the first time, we have non-realm specific IG guides to publish

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 04:26):

I propose to publish them at http://hl7.org/fhir/uv/[code]

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 04:26):

people have approximately 15 min (sorry) to comment on that

(as opposed, to, for US-Core: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/core)

I'm going to be on a flight during the start of today's call -- I will endeavor to join during my layover from Detroit.

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:34):

Engaging with the ballot desktop is frustrating because of the byzantine complexity of the ballot process. (which we're contributing too, I know)

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:35):

FHIR main is:
HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) Specification, Release 1 (PI ID: 891) O4

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:35):

US core is
HL7 FHIR® Profile: US-Core, Release 1 STU Release 2 (PI ID: 1372) D1

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:36):

PHD is
HL7 FHIR® Implementation Guide: Point-of-care Device (PoCD), Release 1 (PI ID: 1277) I1

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:36):

I don't even know the difference in effect between I1 and O1

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:37):

note that according to the ballot, US-Core has 3 versions

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:37):

Release 1, release 2m, and based on FHIR release 3

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:39):

we really need to simplify this... but there's things here that I don't understand. Is anyone clever enough to draw a diagram indicating how the main FHIR spec is balloted, and how IGs are balloted that is
a/ compreheneible
b/ usefully related to what the ballot desktop says

(I think I could have a stab at (a) but don't expect to get (b) right and I suspect I've missed something

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 19:40):

but it's wrong and hopelessly misleading to call this FHIR R1 draft 4 - crazy

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:46):

I1 = Informative, ballot 1
O1 = For Comment, ballot 1

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:46):

Why an IG is being balloted as Informative, I have no clue

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:47):

This isn't really a ballot desktop issue, it's an artifact naming issue

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:47):

"Release 1 STU Release 2" is totally out to lunch...

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 20:48):

well, the ballot desktop magnifies it, but yes, an artifact naming issue, based on GOM assumptions I guess

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Dec 20 2017 at 20:48):

so what's the difference in effect between O and I?

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:48):

It's called "draft 4" because it's the 4th draft ballot we've ever put out. Sequence, apparently, doesn't matter. (Our first 3 drafts were at the very beginning.

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:49):

Draft ballots don't reallly "count" from ANSI's perspective. An Informative ballot though can be passed and allows something to be submitted to ANSI as a "Technical Report" (whatever that means)

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Dec 20 2017 at 20:50):

In any case, FMG should have a policy on what artifacts can be balloted on the Informative track (which can be draft or informative) and which must be normative track (draft, STU or normative). I think IGs should always be the latter.
