For the sake of precision/pedantics @René Spronk, the reaction in question here is called "eyes" in the Zulip picker, and is distinct from "eye roll" which appears below:
https://emojipedia.org/eyes/ clarifies that these are typically "glancing slightly to the left" (as opposed to a primarily vertically oriented eye roll -- of course I'm sure these fine-grained distinctions are entirely stable across cultures and contexts ;-))

This moves into a #social discussion - and actually we have done so before on the topic of emojis (and how cultures may not assign the same meaning to them). I'm viewing the Akira Okrent presentation (recorded, from the recent DevDays) on the dangers of inventing a new language.
