Topic: HL7 Validation with UKCore and CareConnect
Kevin Mayfield (Jun 13 2020 at 04:16):
Both currently work with the FHIR Validator https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIR/Using+the+FHIR+Validator
For UK Core use the following parameters:
-version 4.0.1
-ig https://packages.simplifier.net/uk.core.r4/-/uk.core.r4-1.1.0.tgz
Kevin Mayfield (Jun 13 2020 at 04:17):
For CareConnect (note this uses INTEROPens version of the resources)
-version 3.0
-ig https://interopen.github.io/careconnect-base-stu3/
Richard Kavanagh (Jun 14 2020 at 21:07):
@Kevin Mayfield you will get mixed results as many of the SNOMED valuesets still have errors in their ECL syntax.
Michael Lawley (Jun 15 2020 at 01:41):
Note, Ontoserver can be used to validate the ECL syntax :-)
Kevin Mayfield (Jun 15 2020 at 05:31):
and should be used to validate syntax. It should then be used with validation tools to test conformance resources?
Richard Kavanagh (Jun 15 2020 at 08:07):
The errors in ECL don't require tools to fix them, the syntactic issues are clear. Sites such as https://www.ihtsdo.org/SCT-ecl-brief.html have been around for some time. Worse still the issues reported in CareConnect (STU3) have been replicated into the UK Core (R4). Tools aside, there needs to be a desire to do the right thing....

I think we may need to automatically test conformance resources.
